If you remember last time, I said I wasn’t publishing an article last month because Jack and I were practicing for our presentation at the Spoke ‘n Loam conference. There were moments on stage where we’d look at each other mid-speech and had the silent acknowledgement of “holy shit, we are crushing it”. Beyond just our performance on stage, the conference itself was awesome. We met some very cool people there and listened to other great perspectives. Edmonton is a gorgeous place that we would have never thought to visit. It was a look bad in time in a certain way: the streets were still lined with American elms forming tunnels above neighborhoods. A sight I’ve been told was extinct. Above all, it was deeply encouraging to be told “yes, keep going”. The dread leading up to being on stage was well worth it. More presentations to happen in the future, count on that.
