Managing a deluge of emails right now in preparation for spring stuff. It’s go-time. Got a quick one for you.

Jack and I have been toying with the idea of recording conversations about arboriculture-related things. We’ve got 3 up on our YouTube channel right now, and you subscribers are the first to know.

These conversations are sort of ‘pilot’ conversations to test the waters. To see if these are compelling to people with arboricultural interests. They’re currently pretty low budget, as you’ll see, but with enough interest, we could justify investing more time and energy into them.

The three topics recorded are:

3. Social Media’s Influence on Arboriculture

You can see them all at our YouTube channel here. Feel free to do what you want with ‘em. We’ll be sharing that they are uploaded in a day or two on our Instagram and Facebook.

On a separate note, Jack and I will be presenting at the Sylvan Lake Community Center this month. We titled the presentation ‘Tree Myths’, and we’ll be talking to a non-arborist crowd about a few common myths about trees perpetuated by tree companies and landscapers. Here’s a rough overview for ya:

Our tactic overall here is to describe the origins of these myths, and dispel each one. We plan to record this presentation too, and barring any technical difficulties, should be up on our YouTube channel by the end of the month.

Sylvan Lake is a community full of mature and near-veteran trees that could really use some nuance; so it is pretty cool they’ve invited us to speak to them.
